Liga MX Table Apertura 2026

Three points for a win, one for a draw. Each tournament of a split season has its own table and its own champion — Apertura and Clausura explained.

Liguilla - quarter-finals

Level on points: goal difference, then goals scored - every source agrees on those two. The criteria after them could NOT be verified for 2026-27 (the league's own regulation PDF refuses automated readers and the secondary sources disagree on the order of away goals, head-to-head and fair play), so nothing beyond goals scored is computed here. The top eight go straight to the Liguilla quarter-finals (1st v 8th, 2nd v 7th, 3rd v 6th, 4th v 5th); the play-in round was abolished from the Apertura 2026. There is NO relegation zone because there is no relegation: promotion and relegation were removed from Liga MX's regulations from 2026-27, and the cociente (points-per-match) table is now kept for statistics only. Tournaments before the Apertura 2026 sent 1st-6th to the quarter-finals and 7th-10th to a play-in, so the zone marks on an older table do not apply to it.

How this table is built

4Futbol computes every table itself from the match results, so it never depends on anyone's standings endpoint. Clubs level on points are separated in this order:

points → goal difference → goals scored

The order is different in almost every competition — and it decides titles. Why →
